Board of Governance
The Melbourne Open House event was established by eight professionals who came together under the Committee for Melbourne’s 2008 Future Focus Group (FFG) leadership program. The first two Melbourne Open House events in 2008 and 2009 were delivered under the FFG program.
The founders’ wanted to establish MOH as an independent, ongoing an annual event after the FFG program came to an end. Melbourne Open House was therefore incorporated as a not-for-profit association in Victoria in 2009. This was the first step towards ensuring the event’s longevity as a vital part of Melbourne’s annual event calendar.
Today MOH is managed by 10 Committee members (including the 8 founders) with the assistance of Sue Dight of Touring Enterprises Event Management as Project Manager. The team is assisted by a huge number of volunteers.
